Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of streamlining the interdisciplinary communication and the cooperation of the fields of emergency planning and mathematical modeling in dealing with emergency situations in industry. It is divided into four parts. The first part describes the system of emergency planning in the Czech Republic. The second part deals with mathematical modeling and introduces to selected models used for emergency planning purposes. The third part describes the differences in the requirements of both the above-mentioned fields. The final fourth part summarizes the proposals for streamlining communication and cooperation between the two fields based on the theoretical and practical knowledge as well as on the results of the questionnaire survey. The work is intended not only for the professional public in practice, but also for the lay public with an interest in the above-mentioned disciplines.
