Abstract

The focus of this thesis is on the complex issue of design and implementation of photovoltaic power plants. In the introductory part, I deal with the current overview of legislation, standards and subsidy programs that are key to proper design. I then discuss the prevention of risks associated with fire safety of photovoltaic power plants and battery storage facilities, including risk analysis and lightning protection. In my thesis, I also focus on the actual design of the optimal PV plant with regard to the specifics of the given location, roof type, consumption and operating modes of the building, including efficient control of power flow. The practical part includes the verification of the proposed solution and the development of project documentation for the implementation of the system.
