Analýza přepravy nerostných surovin

Abstract

The diploma thesis analyzes possible ways of transporting raw materials from its suppliers to the producers. The analysis focuses on the two most commonly used modes of transport, the rail and the car one. There are calculations of the transportation costs, which are then compared with each other, shown on an example of transportation of limestone from Kotouč Štramberk to Řečany nad Labem. These calculations are followed by a SWOT analysis which analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the transportation. The analysis is concluded with suggestions of possible future strategies that could be used by transport companies.
