Abstract
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibility of application of thermochemical simulation software for evaluation of metallurgical processes. On the basis of the available information, the focus is mainly on the optimization of slag composition for controlled modification of inclusions in primary and secondary steel metallurgy using FactSage software. In the introductory chapter, attention is paid to the basic steel reactions related to the optimization of the slag and the formation of inclusions and the reduction of their content in steel. The following chapter is intended for a more detailed description of FactSage software features based on sources from foreign authors. At the end of the thesis, examples are given from the practice of using the FactSage software for example the formation of inclusions during the modification of steel with calcium for the manufacture of tubes and the thermodynamic model for the prediction of processes related to the production of stainless steel of quality 304.
