The master thesis deals with risk assessment during inspection and inspection tests of overhead cranes operated at selected sites in a selected company. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part of the thesis focuses on the basic requirements to ensure health and safety at work, the statistics of occupational accidents focus on the causes of occupational accidents and also on the requirements for the revision technician in relation to health and safety when carrying out inspection activities. In the practical part of the thesis, a description of selected scoring methods and procedures for carrying out risk assessments is given, while the application of these scoring methods in two given cases is also presented, with the suggestion of subsequent risk reduction measures. The last part of the paper deals with the revision of the risk register in the light of the information obtained in the risk assessment.
