Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of indirect frequency converters. The introductory part provides a review of various topologies of these converters in terms of their component structures, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. Furthermore, the basic control methods commonly used are described, including their principles and possibilities of application. In the practical part, a concept of an indirect frequency converter intended for educational purposes is proposed. The aim of this design is to enable the realization and testing of various control methods down to the level of individual power switch control. The proposed concept was subsequently realized and tested.
