Vývoj zušlechtění nízkolegovaných ocelí pro šroubárenské použití

Abstract

This paper deals with the concept of quenching and tempering low alloy steels for screwdriving use on an induction quenching and tempering line. The aim of the theoretical part is to present in more detail the issues related to steel production, heat treatment processes and phase transformations as described in the current literature. The experimental part is devoted to the specific quenching and tempering of three grades of screw bar steel on the induction quenching and tempering line at Třinecké železárny, a.s. The heat treatment parameters for each steel grade to be processed are proposed with subsequent evaluation of mechanical properties and microstructure. This design will allow to meet the corresponding customer requirements for screwing applications in the construction industry, but the knowledge gained will also help with the processing of parts for other industries. The proposed steel quenching and tempering technology has achieved the improvement in the properties of the steel product that is required for further processing in the production of screw.
