Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the characteristics of 3D printing, briefly presents the different 3D printing technologies. It also describes the different components of a 3D printer and the most common materials used for printing. Subsequently, the princ iple of the function of locks and some of the most common methods of attack are explained. The practical part examines the construction of the 3D model in a CAD program and the follow up procedure in the slicer before the actual printing. Then a practical test of the key's usability is performed. Two locks were chosen for the experiment. One padlock and the other FAB cylinder.
