Ekologické hodnocení povodí Špluchovského potoka

Abstract

The theme of water protection has led to the study of the local stream called Špluchovský potok in Horní Bludovice village (Karviná District). The aims were to i. understand local environmental conditions and, ii., using the appropriate methodology conduct a survey and evaluate the actual situation. I was interested above all in a quality of natural conditions and the extent to which water quality and local environment is influenced by human activities. The theoretical part of the Thesis deals with a characteristics of the investigated area. The practical part summarizes the results of measurements of selected parameters characterizing a water quality conditions. Measured parameters at sampling sites were e.g. ammonia, nitrogen in the form of nitrates, or phosphates. The results showed that measured parameter values exceeded maximal concentrations defined by law. Based on the results from the years 2013 and 2014 dealing with potential local sources of water contaminants and using questionnaire data presented to local rezidents, the present study deals with proposals leading to future improvements of the current state of water quality in thea local stream.
