Abstract
Alkali activated systems present uncemented alternative binders in the building industry. These are two-component systems, where secondary raw materials of technogenic origin are mainly used as binders, and as activators are most frequently used solutions of alkali metals. Thus prepared composites achieve above-average strength and have excellent resistance properties.
Expansion of these materials in construction practice primarily prevents the use of highly caustic substances as well as the high variability of quality of outputs depending on the preparation conditions.
The main objective of this work is the preparation of high-strength material based on alkali-activated system. The thesis also includes a brief description of the issue of alkali-activated systems and conversance with the problems of designing high-strength concrete, under which was directed a research for the design and preparation of high-strength alkali-activated materials.
In the experiment were prepared in various stages alkali activated mixtures, where was gradually verified the influences of the used additives, admixtures or aggregates on the final properties of the formed composite.
