Činnost vybraných centrálních bank v období ekonomické krize

Abstract

In the period of crises central banks are playing important role. The CB activities can potentially prevent or even eliminate the impact of the crises on the economy. In the first part of the thesis the monetary police is described in more general terms, followed by the description of the causes and precess of the world economic crisis in year 2008. The aim of the thesis is to analyse and compare the activities of the Czech National Bank (CNB) and European Central Bank (ECB) in the period of the economical crises. The thesis conclude that the monetary policy od CNB and ECB was successful.
