Abstract

The origin of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOC) is mainly in the nature and they are a significant component of the atmosphere.Especially BVOC released from vegetation, which react with pollutants in the air can form tropospheric ozone and secondary organic aerosols. The main precursors of ozone from among biogenic VOCs are terpenes and isoprene, in our conditions mainly released by trees. BVOC emission rate depends on the species of the vegetation, temperature, amount of sunlight and substances in the air. The aim of this work was to create a methodology of sampling BVOC from commonly represented trees (poplar, beech and spruce) and for evaluation used gas chromatographic method coupled with thermal desorption. For changing environmental parameters were selected temperature and irradiation, because these parameters have the most effect on the emission BVOC and in laboratory conditions are easily adjustable and measurable.
