Identifikace simulantů výbušnin metodou neutronové aktivační analýzy

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the identification of substances used as explosives simulants by neutron activation analysis in combination with other traditional methods. The first chapter of the theoretical part describes neutron activation analysis, quantities, reactions of neutron with the matter, possible sources of neutron radiation, distribution of neutron activation analysis and the use of this method in explosives detection. The second chapter is devoted to explosives, and mainly describes possible methods of explosives detection, used both in the Czech Republic and abroad. The third chapter consists of a practical part, in which simulants of explosives are examined together with other samples using neutron activation analysis. Other methods used to identify substances in explosives simulants are Raman spectrometry and gas chromatography methods. In this thesis, strip X-ray is also used to detect explosives.
