Title of the dissertation: Criminal Protection of Payment Means Against Their Counterfeiting and Altering
Student’s name: Bc. David Masný
This dissertation focuses on classification of the basic kinds of payment means and on their security features.
The substantial part of this dissertation inquires into the problems of criminal protection of payment means against their counterfeiting and altering, according to the effective Criminal Code, and the comparison of the criminal legislation to the regulations arising from the Criminal Codes of Poland, Germany and the Slovak Republic.
The final part of this dissertation enables to take acquaintance with the contents of some of the Czech Supreme Court’s decisions in this matter, it evaluates the effectiveness of criminal protection of payment means against their counterfeiting and altering, regarding the statistical data of prosecuted persons and persons charged with a crime in recent years and the number of seized counterfeits on our territory.
