Abstract
This thesis deals with the study of possible sources of biodegradable waste and evaluation of the volume of individual components of biodegradable waste produced in the Czech Republic by region. A substantial part of this research paper describes the types of biowaste generated in communal housing, agriculture, and forestry, the food, paper, textile, and leather industries, and in sewage purification and decontamination plants. One of the chapters deals with data colection and evaluation, and comparative analysis thereof by region in the Czech Republic in 2008.
