Připravenost starostů obcí v zóně havarijního plánování

Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the preparedness of mayors in municipalities within the emergency planning zone of the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant to respond to emergencies. The aim is to assess their level of preparedness. The theoretical section describes the role of the mayor in crisis management. The practical section is based on inspections by the Vysočina Region Fire and Rescue Service and on the author’s own questionnaire survey. The results show that mayors have established the basic conditions for responding to emergencies. However, shortcomings are evident primarily in professional training and methodological support. Based on the findings, the thesis proposes recommendations for improving their preparedness.
