Abstract

TĚŠICKÁ, Kateřina. Proposal for the Physical Security Design of the Municipal Police Station in Valašské Meziříčí. Ostrava 2026. Bachelor thesis. VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering. Department of Security Services. Supervisor Ing. Marek Hütter, Ph.D. This bachelor thesis focuses on the assessment of physical security of the Municipal Police station in Valašské Meziříčí. The theoretical part deals with physical security, legal regulations, technical standards, protection of the object and protected assets within the facility. The concept of risk and it´ - s assessment are also introduced, along with a brief mention of crime prevention. The practical part is focoused on a detailed description of the assessed object. Individual types of protection are analysed and weak points are identified. Assets within the object are defined, where the ALARA, - principle is applied. The practical part further focuses on risk assessment using selected analytical methods. The risks identified within these methods that reach the highest value are subsequently addressed through proposed security measures.
