Kontrolní mechanismy na úrovni obce

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize and evaluate the control system in terms of local self-government according to set indicators between the years 2007-2011. We used a descriptive and a comparative analysis as the main research methods. The first part of the thesis theoretically determines the function of control in public administration and its appearance at the municipal level. The next part looks at the conditions necessary for the functioning of the town of Kopřivnice generally relevant for performing a control. The following chapter analyzes the functioning of particular control mechanisms at the level of the town of Kopřivnice. We distinguish two types of control; a non-professional and a professional control. The conclusion contains the assessment of both professional and non-professional control and its benefits for the town functioning. It shows higher sophistication and effectiveness of professional control system.
