Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the prediction of the deformation behavior during the cold forming semi-finished product. Part of the thesis is the design and analysis of the production of a special headrest for the automotive industry. The aim of the thesis is to design the dies and to manufacture prototype headrest raints. First, simulation is created using numerical modeling, followed by prototype production and testing. The work includes investigation of deformation behavior. The results are compared in terms of their practical use in production.
