Abstract

Bachelor thesis Evaluation of Economic Performance of a Joint-stock Company assesses the financial position of the company BLOCK a. s. from 2006 to 2010. The aim of the thesis is the detail analysis of financial performance of the company and the assessment of its financial health. The thesis is characterized of financial analysis, description of particular users, indicators of financial analysis, processes and methods of the financial analysis and analysis of ratios. Creditworthy and bankruptcy models are described. In the practical part is performed the financial analysis. This financial analysis is applied to data from company reports to evaluate the overall effectiveness of management. Comparison and evaluation of results are processed including the preparation of the SWOT matrices.
