Abstract

This thesis deals with analysis of powder surfaces for their potential utility forremoving pollutants from contaminated water. For this thesis were selected materials as an active coal, a montmorillonite, an oilseed rapes and a common haircap moss. Through of these materials have occurred a sorption of an essential metal Zn2+ from the solution Zn(SO4)2, which was determined by an atomic absorption spectrometry- especially in the practical part was used flame method. The specific surface area of selected powdered materials was determined by a BET method (Brunauer, Emmett, Teller), thanks to this BET method we can to define average pore size and maximum pore size. The main point these two methods are diagrams of isotherms for particular powdered materials.
