Abstract

Each chapter deals with mining of building stone. It describes the methods of mass and block disintegration, ways of handling and transportation from a place of disintegration to a place where the the mined stones are crushed and sorted into individual fractions by size. Then following section is one which deals with the characteristics of mining sites where the quarry with the sole non-reserved mineral can be found. Described is the bearing itself, location, number of stocks in focus and its expected lifetime. Lifetime of the bearing is currently going down faster than expected due to increase annual production from the original 600,000 tons to the current 1 million tons per year.
