Abstract

The purpose of this work is a comprehensive description and an analysis of the sequential task control issues, implemented using programmable logic controllers. Its goal is to design a solution of sample task which can serve as an educational or instructional material for PLC programming. The theoretical part describes the area of logic control and programmable controllers, including methods of their programming. The practical part is focused on an actual design of complex task of sequential control and its possible solution. For this purpose there was selected task of material transportation control in a continuous furnace, whose simulation will be performed in the RSLogix 5000 development environment.
