Comparison of Financial Performance of Companies in the Automotive Industry in Selected Countries

Abstract

This thesis is devoted to the financial analysis of research in chosen companies (Geely, Tata, Skoda), They are excellent companies in the automotive industry. The objective of the thesis is to assess chosen companies’ performance, potential and comparison by using financial data and ratios from 2014 to 2018. In detail, chapter 2 is the theoretical basis of the thesis. We’ll introduce the definition and formula of these analysis methods like common-size analysis, financial ratio analysis, and Pyramidal decomposition. In chapter 3 we describe the characterization of chosen companies, like the history, main products and the achievement during these years, and the strategy and innovation for adjusting to the problems faced by chosen companies. Chapter 4 will be the stretch of chapter 2 and 3, based on the methods explained in chapter 2 we may analysis profitability, assets utilization, liquidity, and debt utilization, figure out how the company performance and connected to the relevant event or strategy. Then, the last part is conclusion of chapter before and some financial forecasting.

Tato práce je věnována finanční analýze výzkumu ve vybraných společnostech (Geely, Tata, Škoda), Jsou to vynikající společnosti v automobilovém průmyslu. Cílem práce je zhodnotit výkon, potenciál a srovnání vybraných společností pomocí finanční údaje a ukazatele od roku 2014 do roku 2018. Podrobně je kapitola 2 teoretickým základem práce. Představíme definici a vzorec těchto analytických metod, jako je analýza běžné velikosti, analýza finančního poměru a Pyramidální rozklad. V kapitole 3 popisujeme charakteristiku vybraných společností, jako je historie, hlavní produkty a úspěchy během těchto let a strategie a inovace pro přizpůsobení se problémům, kterým čelí vybrané společnosti. Kapitola 4 bude části kapitol 2 a 3, na základě metod vysvětlených v kapitole 2 můžeme analyzovat ziskovost, využití aktiv, likvidita a využití dluhů, zjistit, jak společnost výkon a související s příslušnou událostí nebo strategií. Poslední část je pak závěr Kapitola před a některé finanční prognózy.
