Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with Cleaner Production application in insurance business. The idea of this work is to show the possible changes in insurance structure, which leads to the cleaner production and enables follow-up in the form of EMS including certification according to ISO 14001. The thesis consists of three parts: greening of shop floor operations, greening of the insurance products and the third part tries to find the opinion of clients by questionnaires.. Greening of shop floor operations is given by proposed savings in energy, water, input materials and proper environmental education of employees in waste treatment and ecologically viable behaviour. Greening of insurance products uses the way of motivation discounts, which should influence the clients in choice of more ecological solutions. The last part tries to search the clients opinion about green insurance products and possible benefit for the company and society.
