Zhodnocení hospodaření základních škol zřizovaných městským obvodem Ostrava – Poruba v letech 2019-2023

Abstract

This thesis deals with the evaluation of the management of eleven selected primary schools in the years 2019-2023, whose founder is the Ostrava-Poruba municipal district. The main objective is to evaluate the management based on cost and technical-performance items per unit of output. Specifically, these are total costs, labour costs and energy costs per pupil and the number of pupils per class and per teaching staff member. The occupancy rate of these schools is also assessed, which fulfils the sub-objective. In relation to these indicators, two hypotheses are tested, examining the relationship between wage costs and inflation and between school occupancy and total costs per pupil. The results of the work show that although most schools are around the average values, there are some that vary significantly, offering space for deeper analysis. Based on the results, recommendations for better management of individual schools are also proposed. Tracking the above indicators can be an important tool for comparing schools with each other and the results can serve as a valuable treasure not only for the founders but also for the school management in optimizing the management.
