Abstract

The aim of this bachelor thesis was plastometric simulation of rolling in order to determine the influence of finish rolling temperature (in range from 250 to 350 °C) and additionally also the strain rate on the structural and mechanical properties of alloy Al Mg3 (EN AW-5754), which is rolled at AL INVEST Břidličná , a.s. With using Hot deformation simulator HDS-20 was programmed ten high pass with uniform size of 10.4 %, which resulted in upsetting of the initial sample height of 15 mm to final height of 5 mm. All passes were realized with uniform strain rate of 3 s-1. Additionally two samples were deformed at uniform strain rate of 13 s-1. Based on evaluation of metallographic analyses can be assumed that final microstructure mainly influenced accumulation of hardening from of partial passes, while there was a significant suppressing of softening processes. Lower finish rolling temperatures resulted only to a gradual increase hardness HV10.
