Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the Regional Integrated Centre of Treatment of municipal waste in the Moravian-Silesian Region. This is a facility for energy recovery of municipal waste, which is intended to complement the existing facilities for waste management in the region. The aim is to take this opportunity to reduce landfill waste. This thesis includes the description and analysis of the upcoming Regional Integrated Centre and evaluation of influences on waste management in region and evaluation of the method of financing the project. Part of the thesis is also focused on the general characteristics of waste management, legislative background and basic concepts in the field of waste management.
