Abstract
The subject of this bachelor thesis is comparison the nickel coatings, their properties and possible applications. The theoretical part describes comparison of electrolytic and chemical nickel deposition methods, with special focus on the chemical excretion of nickel coatings. The composition of chemical nickel-phosphorane baths, the properties of the nickel coating and the normative regulations for chemical plating control are described.
The experimental part describes sample processing using electrolytic and chemical deposition of nickel coating. Testing of both exposed coatings is followed by validation tests, hardness and structure measurements. In the conclusion the results of the tests and the comparison of the different properties of the two metal coatings will be evaluated.
