Abstract

Knowledge of the mechanical properties of materials are fundamental requirements of a designer, allowing their effective use in engineering practices. This thesis deals with the evaluation of structural materials properties using tensile tests. The aim of this thesis is therefore to study the mechanical properties of selected materials, nonferrous metals under different conditions of stress, and comparing the results achieved consensus on the various test facilities department, which is the starting step for carrying out further tests in the area of testing with the possibility of further steps for assessing options initiation of laboratory accreditation. The result of this thesis was to determine the mechanical properties of selected non-ferrous metals and confirm good agreement observed values at different test facilities department.
