Abstract

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the use of X-ray for detecting the variety of material’s properties. Individual chapters describe the formation of X-ray, the nature of X-ray diffraction, methods of detection of diffraction X-ray and measuring technique. Following part is especially dedicated to two applications - qualitative and quantitative phase analysis. The practical part presents the use of X-ray qualitative phase analysis in the study of oxide layers on the sample of steel sheet and using X-ray quantitative phase analysis was determined the concentration of austenite on the samples of supermartensitic steel.
