Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to recognize parts of human body in depth map which is obtained
by a device called Kinect v1 from Microsoft company. The thesis is implemented in C++
programming language with the use of OpenCV library which is intended for the work with
image. In the implementation of this thesis is necessary to get a picture from depth map. This
is obtained by using several different methods that are thoroughly described in this document.
Subsequently, in the depth map will be found human body parts such as the head, hands and
feet. In the first part, we will describe the basic information associated with this topic and
technologies which are used in this work. Additionally, we will also describe existing solutions
and ways to realize this topic from another authors. In the second part, we will look at the own
workflow, its implementation and other information related to the diploma thesis.
