Abstract

The objective of my diploma thesis is to calculate the valuation of the company Meopta - optika, s.r.o. using chosen methods. The evaluation of the company was performed to date 1.1.2010 in order to determine the amount of money that should be used as a base for the selling price of the company Meopta - optika, s.r.o. Value of the company was determined using DCF-Entity and EVA-Entity by two-phase calculation. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part provides a general characterization of different valuation methods including the order and purposes of the evaluation. Second chapter summarizes the application of the financial and strategic analysis, which are the basis for the valuation of the company. Third chapter contains the formulation of the financial plan, calculation of the cost of capital and valuation of the company using methods DCF-Entity and EVA-Entity. This part also contains an analysis of sensitivity as well as a summary and evaluation of the results.
