Abstract

This thesis deals with local distribution network (LDS = Lokální distribuční síť) of electricity in the company Tušimice Mines (DNT = Doly Nástup Tušimice) owned by a joint-stock company North Bohemian Mines (SD a.s. = Severočeské doly a.s.) and belongs to the group ČEZ. The company is engaged in surface mining of brown coal and associated overburden soil by technological units (TC = Technologické celky) consisting of mining excavators, incorporation of giant machines, belt conveyors and other technologies related to mining activities. The aim of the North Bohemian mines JSC (SD a.s.) was not to conduct business in the field of distribution and trading of electricity, but by separating from the main mining activities form auxiliary activities there emerged a need to satisfy by electricity connections and electricity supplies new subjects that were created and moved into the locations of DNT. According to legislation in force at the opening of the electricity market a licensed activity of distribution and later trade of electricity started in 2002.
