Abstract
The aim of the thesis is an analysis of economic aspects of legal proceedings with focus on conditions under which it is favourable to start the litigation and when it is better to solve the situation in other way. Before the analysis is made, the thesis provides theoretical background to given issue and penetrates into legal proceedings with focus on participants of legal proceedings, individual trials, their course and costs. There is also dealt with the law of neglected financial indicators which have noticeable impact on judicial compensation and thus also on decision-making about efficiency of entering the legal proceedings. For needs of evaluation of the efficiency, calculation of particular judicial compensation is made, taking methods of financial analysis into consideration. It is revealed that current legal regulations, which do not take inflation into consideration, are considerably unfair to litigants. Due to a loss of real value of expenditures spent, the litigants lose significant amounts of money. The loss springs from the length of legal proceedings, amount of costs and inflation rate. The diploma thesis shall be an inspiration for the appropriate authorities to take relevant steps that would lead to fair compensation in legal proceedings.
