Povrchové dobývání uhlí v Severočeské hnědouhelné pánvi

Abstract

North Bohemian brown coal basin is located in a deep valley in the eastern part foothills region of the Ore Mountains. In this area are surface mines, which are mined brown coal. There are the Workings Bílina, Mine Tusimice, Workings Vrsany and Workings Cs. Armády. The quality of coal in this area can be rated as very good fuel energy. In my bachelor´s thesis I describe the extraction of coal in some already listed above quarries from its history through the present to the future outlook. It then describes the method of extraction of brown coal, which technology is used, coal supplies and its use.
