Regionální inovační strategie v Jihomoravském kraji

Abstract

The diploma work deals with the regional innovation strategies (RIS), namely with the regional innovation strategy of South Moravia region. The main intention of this work is to introduce South Moravia region and its approach to the innovation support in the region. Chapter one outlines the characteristics of innovation, the importance of innovation for regional development, the concept of innovation systems, general introduction to regional innovation strategies and two Community programmes on the innovation support in the EU. Chapter two describes the role of innovation in the development of South Moravia region. It presents the South Moravia region, the development of innovation and R&D in the region, innovation support agencies, technology parks, important projects of innovation support in the region and makes the comparison with others regions of the country. Chapter three analyses the RIS of South Moravia region. After the description of its infancy it gradually introduces all three existing versions of RIS and makes comparison of RIS with other strategies in Czech Republic. The innovation policy performs very essential role in the development of South Moravia which ranks the region among the innovation leaders within the Czech Republic.
