Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a financial analysis of the company PROMONT, a.s., during the years 2009 – 2012. Each area of the company’s operations is evaluated using selected methods of financial analysis. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the financial analysis and the method of calculation. Furthermore, the focus is not only on bankruptcy and credibility models, but also on SWOT analysis. The goal of the practical part is to use the financial analysis to obtain comprehensive information on the overall economic situation of the analyzed company. It then proceeds to perform a detailed analysis of both the financial situation and assets of PROMONT. The main aim of the analysis is to identify the problematic areas which have become the basis for the stimulating suggestions for the future improvement of the financial situation.
