Abstract

The Office for Personal Data Protection has been founded as the only supervised office in the Czech Republic focused on the issues of personal data protection. The thesis evaluates the development of the task and economy of the Office for Personal Data Protection for the observed period 2010-2014. The theoretical part is related to the checks in the public administrative, its types and division. The practical part contains the basic characteristics of the Office for Personal Data Protection and evaluates the tasks that the office is dealing with. The Office for Personal Data Protection deals yearly with complaints of the citizens related to the camera system (CCTV) and most frequently handles with checks in the branch of public administration. The second part includes the examination of the total revenues and expenses investigated with the help of comparative analysis. Further there are displayed the most expensive items like the purchase of services, other purchase and especially the salaries of the employees and constitutional officials.
