Finanční analýza vybrané finanční instituce

Abstract

The purpose of the present thesis is to define basic differences during financial analysis in general and a specific type of financial analysis of insurance companies. Theoretical grounding is followed by the practical application of ratio analysis on Česká pojišťovna, a.s. between years 2004 and 2007. The analysis is done on a basis of publicly available sources, such as annual reports of the insurance company etc. Results of the analysis proved that Česká pojišťovna is one strong and financially healthy subject on a Czech insurance market.
