Abstract

This thesis focuses on comparison of the properties of two instruments for measuring dose rate. The theoretical part describes the properties of different types and sources of ionizing radiation, gamma radiation detection principles, focusing on dose rate measurements. There is also addressed the issue of laws governing the use of ionizing radiation and the use of these resources in practice. The practical part measurement describes the basic characteristics of compared detectors and evaluated the data obtained by measurements on these devices.
