Abstract

The practical bachelor thesis is primary about the Exchange environment which is evolved with new technologies and technical possibilities. I focused my attention on two different solutions of email communication in the companies which are local solution Microsoft Exchange On-Premise and cloud solution Microsoft Office 365. I am devoting with their differences, pros, cons and also implementation. Migrations to the cloud systems are very relevant topic nowadays in the providers’ companies and this is the reason why I choose this telecommunication branch for my thesis. I created sample schemes of solutions to explain differences between both and I described a great part of my work on the project.

The cloud solutions become more intended in the companies because of possibility to access data and applications anywhere from the Internet. A big role is played by the funds which are reflected in the financial plans. A local On-Premise solution may be expensive and that is reason why cloud services by subscription are chosen by starting companies. The basic aspects of migration itself are costs depending on the time, stability, security and data protection or sustainability.

Thanks to the Individual Professional Practice in the Company I worked both on the project and individual problems. My thesis includes also partial technologies I worked with as messaging secure gateways or scripting language Exchange Management Shell.
