Abstract

My bachelor thesis is dealing with current treatment possibilities of waterworks sludges which arise as a by-product during water treatment. In terms of current legislation and current environmental knowledge is necessary to prevent any waste and seek opportunities for secondary processing and utilization. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, which is divided into four chapters, is clearly and systematically processed problems concerning the topic. The first chapter is devoted to the characteristics of waterworks sludge. Subsequent chapters focus on contemporary ways of dealing with water supply and sewage legislation relating to them. The last chapter is devoted to the collection waterworks sludge from selected sites. The practical part deals with the assessment of properties waterworks sludge samples from selected sites. The final part discusses the evaluation of the results of past values.
