The main goal of this diploma work is to provide the comparative analysis of the current mining technology and the new one that is realised by means of the investment programme, and find out how to determine efficiency of particular one. The introductory part of the work is aimed to gather a theoretical knowledge of this topic. Individual parts are devoted to capital investment of the company, investment planning and decision. The parts also devoted a capital expenditure, a financial income from the investment, a corporate discount rate, an efficiency of the investment project and a rating of important methods. The practical part of the work is devoted a specific corporation. There is realized brief acquaint with company, a history of this company, mining technology and other important indicating instruments. The following part gives readers information about the investment project POP 2010. The final part of the work is devoted how to measure the efficiency of the original technology and the new one, how to determine optimum variant and how to find out the suitable solutions.
