Abstract
The rock candy fractures are a type of defective fractures, which affect heavy steel castings. Susceptibility to the rock candy fracture exhibit steel with a low
or medium carbon content. The incidence of rock candy fractures is dependent
on several factors - the amount of residual aluminium, an increased fraction
of aluminum nitride and wall thickness of castings (decreasing the speed
of crystallization).
The aim of the bachelor thesis is verify exhibit the rock candy fracture to two samples loaned by the company Unex a.s. company.
