Abstract
The submitted bachelor thesis describes the issue of the formation of tin oxides during the production of glass using the technique of floating on the surface of molten metal. The theoretical part describes the technology of glass production and explains the formation of tin oxides and their compounds. The following chapter deals with tin and its properties. There are also mentioned compounds that can form from tin oxides in nature and their subsequent influence on the environment and humans. The next part includes sampling methodology and methods of tin analysis. The conclusion of this part of the bachelor thesis is the list of possibilities of degradation of tin compounds. The penultimate chapter describes a method of recycling tin waste in the form of its oxides and compounds in AGC Teplice Řetenice. The final part mentions the most important legislation related to the process of making flat glass by float.
