Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with power-assisted steering Democar electric car. The already developed system is completed with motor-driven power steering booster. The thesis is divided in two parts. The first part is oriented on the analysis of the chosen steering booster, especially on its construction and communication interface. The following text deals with the model computation subsequently used to determine the input parameters of steering actuators. The second part of the thesis is focused on control unit application software development. The emphasis is put on the security of the steering and possible operation failures of the system are discussed. The concluding chapter deals with the testing of the developed application software and the complete steering system.
