Abstract
The thesis deals with determination of the volume of leaked gas from the broken low-pressure gas pipeline, outflow coefficients, directions and speed of the gas propagation in a confined space after gas escape from leaks, as well as with formation of local hazardous and explosive concentrations. The work is divided into three chapters. The theoretical basis is described in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with the experimental measurements and the third is devoted to mathematical modelling of the experiment, which enabled determination and description of more detailed physical processes occurring during the experiment, which gave another dimension to this work. The thesis further compares the results of measurements with mathematical models.
