Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a proposal for improvement of inventory management system in the environment of a wholesale company. The aim of the work is to analyze the current inventory management system and subsequently propose improvements to it. The work is structured into part theoretical and part practical. The theoretical part describes the issues related to inventory and their management. It also describes terms such as purchase and its management or the concept of dose and optimal dose size. In the practical part is carried out in the analysis of the current inventory management system in ELEKTRO S. M. S., spol. s r.o. Based on this analysis, the shortcomings of the current inventory management system are listed, for which proposals are made in the following part of the work, which should eliminate the deficiencies and thus contribute to the optimization of the stock management system.
