Zhodnocení ekonomických a knihovnických ukazatelů krajských vědeckých knihoven v ČR

Abstract

Bachelor thesis, Evaluation of Economic and Library Indicators of Regional Research Libraries in the Czech Republic, deals with the comparison of selected indicators of regional research libraries in the Czech Republic. The selected indicators include the contribution of the founder, the purchase cost of the library, registered users and the library fund. At the same time, the total expenditures of regional municipalities on culture and public librarian and information services of regional libraries are compared with the standard. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused, due to regional libraries as public institutions, on the public sector, culture and funding of the culture. Then, the Czech librarianship is approached from the point of view of history, legislation, the division of libraries and other possible funding of libraries. In the analytical part of the thesis, each regional library is discussed and the above mentioned indicators are characterized and the data obtained from individual regional libraries are analyzed. The regional scientific libraries are evaluated from a given comparison of individual indicators.
